It is not entirely fair to only give a destination four hours to make an indelible impression, yet somehow Savannah managed to do so on a sticky Thursday morning in August. Reduced to this time limit and no prior research or itinerary I was lucky enough to run into these gems of the Southern city (and purposefully avoiding all things Paula Deen). Please let me know of places I overlooked.
The Bottom Line: I was enamored with the distinct quality that many of the Savannah shoppes and boutiques shared... the in-store coffee bar (but more often supplying cold italian sodas and georgia peach tea).
9:00am-11:00am Peruse the many boutiques on Broughton Street
- Pick up some of the best georgia peach tea at Sylvester & Co. Modern General Store
- Find a great deal on chic furniture and home decor at DC2 Design
- Tease your senses at The Paris Market with fresh bundles of lilac, candles & perfumes, and authentic Parisian antiques
